Description: Easy access to the Pacific Ocean on a hiking trail through coastal willow and brush to an incredible view of a large seastack, False Klamath Rock, home to the 4th largest seabird breeding colony on the California coast. More than 25,000 Common Murre, Pigeon Guillemot, and Brandt’s and Pelagic Cormorant nest on the rock. Surfbird, Brown Pelican, Black Oystercatcher and Black Turnstone are common in surf and tidal areas. |
