Directions: Go south on Highway 101 14 miles, through Del Norte Redwoods State Park and past the ocean beach at Wilson Creek. Turn right into trail parking lot. Take trail to view offshore rocks.

Description: Easy access to the Pacific Ocean on a hiking trail through coastal willow and brush to an incredible view of a large seastack, False Klamath Rock, home to the 4th largest seabird breeding colony on the California coast. More than 25,000 Common Murre, Pigeon Guillemot, and Brandt’s and Pelagic Cormorant nest on the rock. Surfbird, Brown Pelican, Black Oystercatcher and Black Turnstone are common in surf and tidal areas.
